It’s time to get to know some of the McKenzie Farm’s characters a little better. Let’s start with Glycerin the Duck, who makes an appearance in strip number 17 (above), and who we have already seen in strip 13.

As he will not fail to prove to you, Glycerin is possibly (well, definitely) the least intelligent animal on the farm, and totally unaware of it. Having said this, he does also some qualities: he is always full of optimism, although it’s probably dictated by the total lack of self-awareness and deep-rooted ignorance that keep him from understanding everything that surrounds him.

He is incapable of taking care of himself and suffers from a severe lack of morals, but he is nevertheless accepted among his companions if only because they are aware of the fact that he is completely devoid of intelligence. He survives thanks to Moses’s strict but paternal guidance and his patient best friend, the Pig.

Glicerina il papero

Per i nuovi arrivati, credo sia ora di conoscere meglio gli abitanti della Fattoria McKenzie.  

Cominciamo dal papero Glicerina, che appare nella striscia n. 17 (sopra) e che abbiamo già visto nella striscia n. 13.

Nelle prossime strisce, non mancherà di certo di dimostrarvi di avere il primato di abitante più stupido della fattoria, nonostante lui non ne sia minimamente consapevole. Detto questo, possiede anche alcune qualità: per esempio, è pieno di ottimismo, anche se probabilmente dovuto a una totale mancanza di consapevolezza e una profonda ignoranza che gli impediscono di comprendere tutto ciò che lo circonda.

È incapace di prendersi cura di sé ed è privo di ogni morale, ma nonostante questo è ben accetto all’interno della fattoria, se non altro perché tutti gli inquilini sono consapevoli dei suoi limiti. Sopravvive grazie alla tutela severa ma paterna di Mosè, e alla pazienza del suo migliore amico, Alcide il maiale.
